DARE TO DREAM THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM: LOYOLA

Loyola High School had seen numerous activities during the last two months. The Primary had its Prefects Investiture Ceremony. It was a democratic process – the students elected their leaders. It was just a small beginning in their life long role as leaders. The parents of the boys were also the happy witnesses to see their sons making them proud.

The Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm. The students dressed themselves as freedom fighters, enacted and delivered speeches. It was a time when their patriotic feeling soared sky high.

The much awaited Annual Parents and Prize Distribution Day was held on 11th and 12th September. The Students had put up splendid performances. The hall was completely jam packed. The enthralled parents kept asking for an encore. The Theme of the Programme was ‘ Dare to Dream the Impossible Dream’. The Staff and Students urged their parents to take courage to dream the impossible Dream to build India and humanity on authentic principles and values. The Chief Guest for the first day was Fr. Bhausaheb, our Provincial. In his address he asked the parents to emphasize not only the intellectual development of the child but also the integrated growth of the person.

For the second day’s programme the Chief Guest was Fr. Edward Mudavaserry, the Rector of De Nobili College. He enlightened the gathering on the Jesuit contributions to education, particularly in India. He asked the parents to make use of the golden opportunities that their children receive and be proud of them. The credit for the success of the Annual Day goes to the Manager, Primary and High School Principals and the entire staff for meticulously planning and enthusiastically executing everything to the last detail.
